Elizabeth, lovingly known as Weezy, has always been the heart of our family. Her kindness, wit, and generosity have touched everyone she meets—whether she’s cooking up a feast, sharing a laugh, or welcoming friends as if they were her own children. As a devoted mother to my brother and me, she’s been our biggest supporter and the glue that holds us together. Her love for life, her roots in small-town Louisiana, and her passion for painting, animals, and live music have made her a light in so many lives. Now, as she faces the early stages of ALS, we want to give back to her the same love and care she’s always shown us and others. Weezy is currently in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but with all immediate family now living out of state, she’s facing this journey without the daily support she deserves. Our goal is to relocate her to Northern California, where she’ll live with her younger sister and have access to better care and treatment in San Francisco. This move is essential for her comfort and well-being, but it comes with significant expenses—relocation costs, medical bills, home care, accessibility equipment, pet care, and travel to and from doctors. My brother and I are both starting new chapters in our own lives, living in South Florida and San Antonio, and while we can’t always be there in person, we’re deeply grateful to our Aunt Kimberly for stepping in to help. Knowing Weezy will be surrounded by family and supported through this transition brings us comfort, but we can’t do it alone. We’re reaching out to friends, family, and kind strangers to help us ease Weezy’s financial burden and ensure she receives the best possible care. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in her life and help us give back to someone who has given so much to others. Thank you for supporting our family and helping us surround Weezy with love, comfort, and dignity as she navigates this new chapter.
